Details: Attractive old building, with garden and large car park on a corner site. There was a large lounge with snooker room off and a smaller separate lounge. It was cold and a log fire burned invitingly. I ordered a cottage pie with a cheese topping and an enormous serving promptly arrived. It was served with fresh vegetables and mashed potatoes. All in all, a large, basic, but satisfying meal. It was all washed down with a pint of Timothy Taylor Landlord bitter. No complaints about the meal, but I was far too full to consider a desert. The total bill was £10.25 which I felt was good value and the service was nice and friendly.
